These stable stands can also work as a joiner thicknesser table, but you should be sure the dimensions of your jointer fit on the table top.  Of course you could also attach a slightly larger top to the stand to compensate for any planer table adjustments you may need for size discrepancies.

Keep in mind that if you purchase a new thickness planer, then sometimes there are specials going on and you get the planer stand for free- usually with a mail in rebate.  So keep an eye out if you are buying new power wood working tools.

It is very thorough and chalk full of information on dust control for your workshop. It explains everything from the different types of dust, to health hazards, to strategies of dust control.
